Colour For A Cause

Zara and Reed EvansA creative initiative raising funds for research by the Children’s Cancer Institute has been pioneered by a Pacific Hills family.

Colour For A Cause is the brainchild of Heidi Evans. Her three year old daughter Zara was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2020.

“Like many others I never thought something like this would happen to my family”, said Heidi, “To say that her diagnosis brought our world crashing down is an understatement.”

Heidi has a goal to raise one million dollars for the Love Your Sister Foundation which was founded by Victorian Australian Of The Year (2018) and Gold Logie winner, Samuel Johnson OAM. Love Your Sister is giving 100% of all funds raised by Colour For A Cause to the Children’s Cancer Institute’s Zero Childhood Cancer Program – which includes research into liquid biopsy.

“This is a cause that is so close to my heart after spending time in the hospital meeting other families affected and seeing first-hand what they are going through”, added Heidi.

Colour For A Cause ImageHeidi contacted five Australian artists who created unique colouring-in sheets and these are available to people who support Colour For A Cause. Once the sheets are coloured in they can be entered via Instagram and there are over $2500 worth of prizes to be won.
